Tax Refund Query

Is it possible to work out an estimated tax refund as I left work end Feb2011 (Emmigrated and sent in P45/P50)

I got a refund of 1900 and was expecting approx 4500 or so (my tax credits for the year less what I'd used...) am I wrong in thinking I'd get the full amount back? I don't have the statement they sent yet, just noticed this amount lodged into my bank account.


Found the exact figures:
Pay 18,684
Tax deducted 5072
Monthly cred 534
Monthly cut-off 3618

You will get the full amount back, but over time, as your tax credit / std rate cut-off accumulates over the 52weeks off the year. ..
 
Cheers Mandelbrot, I thought i would okay but wasn't sure especially since I only got 1900 now, so maybe there is some letter with the refund I'll wait and see. Appreciate it.
 
Just to confirm, I've received my documentation and included was a form to complete should I find myself unemployed etc...after 8 weeks to submit and I should get more back...I guess Emmigration to them means I'll be back...err. no....guess the process has changed somewhat, since i last took off as a nipper and got all tax back at once.
