Tax refund due re professional subscriptions?

Hi all,
I am a PAYE worker and have been paying professional subscriptions for a number of years but have never claimed any tax deduction. Is there a mechaism whereby I can now claim a refund retrospectively? How many years can I claim for and what do I need to do re filling out forms etc?

Hi,
I just did this for the last 2 years.
You can only go back to 2007 now.
So 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010, 4 years.
I just rang the PAYE helpline 1890333425 and have your PPS number ready and ask them to include the amounts you paid for the last 4 years and P21 balancing statements should issue.
I was surprised at how quickly I got refunds out.
