Surely you're worse off with your partner not on PUP?My husband came off the PUP after we seen our tax cert, he's been on it 4 weeks this year. I believe those that were in receipt of the salary top up have their tax credits amended over 2-3 years.
Sure, it was €70,820 now reduced to €52,620

The reduction in credits etc is an estimate, based on your partner being on pup for the rest of the year. When he ceases being on the pup, this will all be sorted out.You can't be worse off by not claiming €350 a week you are entitled to.He'll be back to work in about 3 weeks time, i'd rather nothing coming in from not working than the taxes we'll be paying next year.
If she's on the pup for the year, then this is accurate. Its like 18 grand of wages.(with a prsi saving)The same thing happened to myself an my wife. She is on pup and it looks like they've reduced the SRCOP by the value of the pup if claimed for the year ie. 350*52. And they've reduced her tax credits by 20% of that. Its strange that this has been done without any publicity.
Oh i thought it was based on last year. So when he's back in work the tax credits / rate band will be adjusted again? The reduction in credits etc is an estimate, based on your partner being on pup for the rest of the year. When he ceases being on the pup, this will all be sorted out.You can't be worse off by not claiming €350 a week you are entitled to.
