I worked 7 months in 2009, p60 states E27,791, JSB E4,987 paid income tax on each monthly pay check, wife works p/t earning around E19,787,
both normal paye workers but rent out a house which had loss of E500 on 2009.
Did ros online form 11 as per chat with revenue to see if I have any money due back to me as I only worked 7 months in 2009.

When I finished it stated I had tax liability of E3,529 I don't understand how this is possible, I copied and pasted here what ROS calculated as I need advice before I submit , cheers

On the assumption that neither yourself nor your wife were employed as a director of your own company, you have not claimed the PAYE credits for either yourself or your wife.

This is an extra tax credit worth €1,830 each which will wipe out the tax liabilty and actually leave a small refund due to you.

Also you have not claimed for any medical expenses or service charges (bin tags) for which you could receive additional tax relief.

Also the Income Levy paid-to-date looks very low.

Was there no income levy deducted from either your or your wife's salary in the year?

You need to get your Cert of Credits

It appears the PAYE credit of 3660 (2* 1830) is not included in your calculations above. Also don't forget to include other credits bins union fees medicial exps to name a few. If you have any children and you are now looking after them you may be entitled to a homecarers credit.

That looks right

You can't claim for children in 2009 because your incomes are over the threshold for the home carers credit.

Dependent relatives credit is only for very specific relatives (special needs or elderly relatives are 2 examples) so you're not entitled to that unless one of your children is special needs.
