Tax implications of working remotely in the EU.

I work in IT services and think I have a certain amount of flexibility with regard to work practices and working remotely with my current employers. All going well with them and they agreed to it, I'm wondering what would be the tax and overhead implications of working remotely from different EU locations for a couple of months at a time?
Just a notion at the moment, but I like the idea of hitching up to a different city every two/three months. I know there'd be fees involved with banking (at the moment I'd just ask that my salary be paid in to my exisiting Irish account, as normal), I'm just wondering would this generate a large overhead in terms of administration for my employers, and mean local tax liabilities for me (though I appreciate this could vary) with regard to income tax?
