I am aware that there is a Tax credit assistance programme for the long term unemployed.
I would like to know if this would apply to someone who is thinking of taking up employment in the public sector (HSE)??

Response from revenue

I phoned the revenue and they informed that the scheme does apply to public sector workers once the contract is for 12 months or more.
