I was made redundant last April and got a temporary job for 6 weeks at the end of April and in my first pay packet got extra for unused tax credits. Was out of work then again until September but didn't get anything extra in my pay and then changed jobs again in November (after being off for two weeks in October) and again didn't get anything extra. Am I entitled to a refund from Revenue for unused tax credits or what way does it work. I did claim the dole for the few weeks in April and then again in June, July, August.
 
You may have got back all the tax you paid in the first refund, you may not therefore have anything else to claim back. Also your Jobseekers Benefit would be taken in as income in arriving at the overall tax position for the year.

Tax credits themselves are not refundable, only tax up to the maximum of tax actually paid. You'd need to look at the documentation you got from the last employer to see, if the P45 shows nil tax for the year so far then there is nothing else to claim.
