I am plannimg a move to Ireland and have a UK Occupational Pension as well as a UK state pension. I have read all through the Irish tax website and understand how tax credits work I also understand that I will need to pay tax through self assessment. My question relates to the "Employee tax credit". The tax website says this can be claimed if you have a state pension from another EU state. Clearly the UK is no longer in this category. Has anyone any knowledge whether this can still be claimed?

Thanks - this post was 2019 before Brexit so I am still not clear. I understand that before Brexit the UK was in the EU therefore the UK state pension made the Employee tax credit applicable but now......?

Brexit wouldn't have changed the double taxation agreement.
