Mrs Keano has the option to leave her HSE type job but has to make a final decision before the end of November. Its a job sharing role - salary c.25k.
I was trying to calculate the cost / benefit over 3 to 5 years. I know the redundancy element from the quote she was given and am trying to calculate various scenarios ie. assuming 10% pay cut / tax hike, 20% pay cut / tax hike, and so on. I've also made some assumptions on her SW benefit being reduced now the Chopper is on board
What I don't know much about is what effect her being unemplyed would have on my tax ie. how much of her credits would transfer to me, I currently earn 3-4 times her salary.
Any ball park advice on this would be much appreciated.
