I am a pensioner I am under the taxable allowance and don't pay tax. The last 3 years I have had to obtain a Tax Credit document otherwise my pension provider starts taking off tax and USC, as there is very little change every year to my pensions, do I have to apply every year for a Tax Credit document?
I don't know why you have to apply every year. Once the pension provider is listed as your employer it should get an automatic tax credit cert for you each year.
Perhaps the OP is in the bracket between being covered by tax credits PAYE, Married and Age of €5,440 or income of €27,200 and the exemption limit of €36,000.
Not sure if Revenue issue an exemption limit cert automatically each year.
You are not exempt from USC automatically perhaps a reduced rate.
