I would really appreciate a bit of help with this tax code. I was in emergency tax for about 6weks now I m in cumulative and all the tax that I got back was taxed again which left me with a return of € 7!
Here is my situation tax credits 352 ,gross pay 1838.72 gross taxable 1649.65. .Salary for 2weeks 1503.73 , Areas eligible 335 (I think this is my emergency tax back) Superannuation 83.15, USC 23.91, Superannuation on 335- 10.05. Pens related ded 95.87, Prsi 73.55, tax 22.07.

What week are you talking about.

When you are on emergency tax you are allocated a set of credits for those weeks, if you were on emergency tax for 6 weeks it should not have been that onerous.

When you get a cumulative cert it means that your tax is computed based on your earnings since Jan 1 of the year.

So its Gross Pay for the year to date x 20% to your standard rate cut off point then 41% above that less your annual tax credits divided by 26 multiplied by the number of weeks in the year so far.

In your case your gross taxable pay is €1,649.65 is that year to the last pay date? and your current salary is €1,503.73?
