Tax back following redundancy?

Just thought of something else following redundancy. Do you have to wait til the end of year to claim tax back if you are expecting to work again....OR seeing as I was paid my notice and it was all taxed should I apply for tax back now? I worked for Jan only and got made redundant on 2nd Feb.

There may alreayd be a thread on this - apologies I couldn't find it...can someone point me in the right direction please?
