Tax Back as Husband now unemployed

Hi All
My husband was made redundant last October and was in receipt of Job Seekers Benefit. He would get a days work here and there and would always sign off for the relevant days.

My question is, will we be due back any tax refund for the last year and should we have altered the way we are taxed, or would it make any difference i.e. can I claim some of his TFA etc...

Any advice much appreciated, as we are now heading towards the JSA, and it doesn't look like he will receive any payment from this!

you should ask your revenue inspector for a balancing statement for 2009. you should also if you haven't done so already submit your Med 1 forms for last year and make sure that you claimed everything you were entitled to.
