I see the latest eircom competitor named Talk Talk (www.talktalk.ie) has said "We are so confident that TalkTalk will save you money that if we can’t prove it we’ll give you €1,000"
However, in the middle of the terms and conditions they state that : "The comparison for the challenge will be made by recalculating the cost of your line rental, call management services and each individual call included in your most recent TalkTalk bill at the relevant eircom tariff as set out in paragraph 4 below"
Paragraph 4, in the terms and conditions states: "The following comparisons will be made; TalkTalk will be compared against eircom Standard. No other comparisons will be undertaken".
Ahh ok. So they will save you money against Eircom on the basis of standard call charges only. But they won't even contemplate making a comparison against Eircom's Talktime package which has hundreds of inclusive minutes.
I find it amazing that a company can on the one hand refer to being "so confident we can save you money" and on the other hand restrict the comparisons to standard rates.
