Hi Guys
We currently have our mortgage with PTSB.
I saw Halifax's new mortgage rates which based on our mortgage (320k and 65% LTV) would save us over €130 per month for the first two years and over €60 per month thereafter.
Halifax say they cover legal costs up to €1,000 and the valuation fee €150....so it seems like a no brainer if I can get a solicitor for €1,000 or less. Am I missing something e.g. other costs, are solicitors much more than €1,000 for a refinance ?
Any thoughts ? Would you switch if you were in my position ?
Thanks
Hermes
