Health Insurance Switching health insurers

Hi there , can anyone advise or give their experiences of switching health insurance companies with a pre existing condition? I am a cancer patient who’s company currently won’t cover drugs which they class as unlicensed or experimental. I have paid for these new drugs myself . Because VHI do provide cover in private hospitals for these type of targeted therapies I’m keen to switch to them but very nervous to do so . Also as I come with a lot of “baggage” would they even accept me ? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks , Fleur

but changing to a new policy - in any company - if its an upgrade has a 2 year waiting limit.

you'd have to give more information - i'm aware laya don't cover these drugs but vhi do - but if the policy is an upgrade is the issue.
