Switch position of bath with sink

I'm thinking of switching the position of the bath with the sink in my small bathroom. I will be using a professional to do the work but before I get quotes I'm wondering if anyone has done similar ?

I'm imagining that because there is a hot & cold feed and a waste pipe to both general locations that it's not that big of a job ?

Can the sink use the plumbing for the bath and vice versa ? (Or is major modifying required?)

Thanks

We did this - installed a shower where a sink used to be. I think you need a larger diameter of waste pipe for the bath or it will take ages to drain, because of the larger volumes involved. Our plumber swore blind that he had put in a new waste pipe before the tiler arrived, but the shower tray tells a different story - it fills more quickly than the plughole can drain it away, and the scuzz caused by shampoos, etc, is left behind.

The limiting factor on flow here will always be the plug/ drain hole of the sink or shower tray itself (except in the case of a blockage). You could put in 100mm waste pipes, but the water won't drain any more quickly. 40mm waste pipes are standard for sinks, showers, & baths.

If you have a particularly slow draining shower, then it's likely the pipes are partially blocked with hair/soap scum.
