Student Visa for US

Hi guys,

My younger brother wants to go to the States this summer to work. However he doesnt want to get the J1 as he has already got a really cheap flight and and the J1 cost includes the flight etc. Does anybody know if there is any way, other than a J1 to get a student work visa for the states?

Its a bit of a barmy situation that you cannot just get the J1 without having to fork over a fortune to USIT.....

Are you sure that you can't [broken link removed] to the US Embassy/USINS/USCIS for a J1?

You can, but you need a sponsoring organisation, which is where USIT usually come in.
