Myself and my partner are looking to get a mortgage over the next year or so, however he has gotten accepted into a new role in the medical field which requires him to be a student for 1 year & an intern for the following year. After that he will be considered full time. I work full time & we are both saving towards the mortgage, he will continue to be paid during these years. My question is, will this Intern/student status affect our chances of getting a mortgage in the coming years?
