Hi guys anybody shed some advice? im going away for a couple of months and im looking for any recommandations for storage? im renting so i think it would be cheaper to put my stuff into storage for the couple of months rather than keeping the rent going till i get bk.. i did google a couple of places and seen there sites but as ive never used it before im looking for advice from anybody that has used it before as my stuff means alot to me and i dont want to just put it in the hands of the wrong people.

Thanks

Re: Help!!! storage advice

I used a storage facility in Finglas a few years ago, and was very happy with it. I'm not sure if they all operate the same way, but this one had individual storage lockers of various sizes. The door could be locked with a padlock - I purchased one at the facility, then bought another one elsewhere for added peace of mind. I could pay weekly/monthly if I wanted to, or pay for a block of months in advance (which worked out cheaper, plus saved me the bother of having to pay each month. Paying in advance would probably suit you, if you're going to be out of the country for a few months). I found the staff to be very helpful, and didn't have any problems whatsoever.

Wherever you store it - make sure it's insured. A girl I worked with use a storage company that went bust, and all her stuff was gone.

Re: Help!!! storage advice

We used these guys at the end of last year and start of this year:-

www.needmorespace.ie

We had lots of furniture to store while waiting to move into our new house. They seem to have storage facilities in a few places in Dublin but we used the one on the Kylemore Road. You can rent out storage units of various sizes from very small to very large and you get your own key and access code. It wasn't very expensive and we were even able to get new furniture delivered there direct from the shop. It was very secure, dry and easily accessible. We found the staff there very friendly and easy to deal with too and I would recommend them.

Check with your landlord. They may give you a rent reduction.
