Stopping one parent family payment and getting back together

hi, I have been on OPF payment since last year. My ex and I have recently been talking and am thinking about getting back together. I would now like to stop my payment and move in with him - i don't believe that it is fair to claim still. However he will recently be out of college and will have to apply for job seekers. Will he be able to then put me on to his claim as I will no longer have any money. I am hoping this will be fine as they should praise families getting back together surely??

Your partner should be able to claim Jobseekers provided he's finished college (he can't claim if he's between years). And yes, he can claim for the family - he should bring your OFP book and hand it in when he makes his claim.

If you've no income while waiting for his jobseeker's to come through, he can apply for SWA from the Community Welfare Officer at the local health centre.
