Anyone use this product? How does it compare in look to Natural Stone? I'm guessing there is a nice saving to be made in using it versus the labour and materials costs of natural stone?

Have used this stone on a garden wall. We went with a grey stone with
a brown/ rust running through it. After a year or so we noticed there was a lot more rustie colour than when first put up, as time went by the rust started to run down the wall in streaks. When i enquired what was happening to my lovley wall i was told it was iron oxide which came naturally in the stone and there was'nt much we could do about it. We are currently building and am not goind to get caught out this time. We are using a stone cladding from fernhill stone looks great like my previous stone wall but the rust will not run we have been guarenteed and have been to see some of the work they have done in the past, very pleased. Hope this might be of some help.. their site is www.fernhillstone.com if u want to see for your self

Our stone supplier dropped off some samples of their cladding last year, they looked great but we found that there wasn't actually much difference in price between getting this fitted and real stone facing on a block wall. I asked on here a while back and I think some people had some horror stories about the glue coming loose in the sun (!) so we went with the facing in the end.

Poochie101, do you have any association with this company? The majority of your posts to date are recommending them while dismissing other companies.

Stop the Press ! - There's a bridge on the R347 at Tuam, clad in Fernhill, and that has all run off-colour too........hold your horses 'til I get pic for you - might take a few days.......

I tried, and tried, and tried, and I found Fernhill to be an absolute nightmare to deal with - gave up in the end, and I went with these guys: ,

I used New Age Stone (same as galway tt) around our stanley range, on front and two reveals. Our range is cream so we went for a golden colour, it has a real WOW factor in the kitchen. Total cost €720 for all materials and labour. Very good value, don't use email with them as they NEVER answer you but very pleasant on the phone. Excellent look and placing of the stone pieces.

Only disappointing thing is the grout/adhesive is very crumbly when you touch it. We had thought it might have dried out but after seven months it is very crumbly. If you sweep along the base on the floor you sweep off some every time.
