Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone else in the same position ?

I submitted my Form 11 (paper version) for 2010 last October but still have not received the tax refund due.
I'm due several hundred back for medical expenses but when I phoned revenue they just said they were working through them.
But 4 months seems a bit excessive ???
Would love to know if anyone else is in the same boat ?

Thanks

How long since this phone call?

This sounds very strange, I don't see how there could be a 3 month backlog in the processing of the paper forms.

You need to get the name of the person in Revenue who is or should be dealing with the return Its the only way to get it moving That amount of time waiting is ridiculous 2 -3 wks. is the norm

In the same boat. I'm waiting on a few k. Nothing back from Revenue, not even the sheet with calculations that they usually send out.

Hi
Thanks for the replies.

I phoned about two weeks ago. There isn't a chance of getting the persons name who should be dealing with this - I always feel like I'm dealing with Fort Knox!
Anyhow I phoned yesterday, apparently there is a several month delay in processing but hopefully "they" (being some uncontactable processing unit) will get to it soon.

I have to admit to getting the feeling that the revenue are just dragging their heels to delay making payments.

Maybe the delay is because you sent in a paper form 11? If you file online at www.ros.ie the claims are usually dealt with much more quickly. Not much help to you for this year but maybe you should try this next year? ROS is a really easy system to use.

That seems mad. I sent in Med 1 forms and P60 / USC statement for review... 3 cheques have come back in less than a week for P60/USC.

Nice surprises, have to say - wasn't expecting anything other the Med 1 (still waiting on that cheque!)
