Hi all

Recently relocated by to Ireland from UK (originally Irish) but still working for UK company. While they are trying to work out all the taxation issues my wages are still being paid into my UK account. Payroll have said they can pay it into a Sterling Deposit Account if the account details has the same format as a UK account i.e. 8 digit account number and sort code only, no SWIFT or BIC or IBAN needed. I've been leaving messages for the guy in Foreign Services but he's not gotten back to me so i was wondering if any one on this forum would know?

Thanks in advance

I am not sure what the question is here?

The UK and Ireland originally had one bank transfer system, with a 6 digit bank code. Irish banks ended up with codes starting in the format 9******.

So the format of the code is the same, generally.
