Ive been offered a place in college to study stenography. Its two years long full time and very tough im told. Does anyone know what the job market is like out there at the moment for stenographers? (its also now called real time reporting/vertabim reporters)
ive spoken to one person who has done the course, which is apparantly the only one of its kind in the whole of ireland belive it or not!! and they only take 20 students a year!!
someone said though that BBC, and RTE and the Dail etc. are all seriously looking for stenogrpahers at the moment for sub title work etc.
The salary is also very very impressive.......
would love to hear if anyone has any advice or info they wouldnt mind sharing...??
