Good Morning,
I know there have been lots of stamp duty queries but I failed to find an answer to my question, so I'll throw it out there and see if anyone knows an answer. Myself and my wife bought a small house over 3 years ago, as FTBs and our intention was to move in and live there. But we had to move to the Southern Hemisphere with work for 2 years and have just returned this year to Ireland. We did rent the property while away but we did not buy any other property. We are now living there again.
So the question is are we liable to pay Investor Stamp Duty because of the 2 years we were away?
