I intermission Registered User Messages 51 21 Apr 2006 #3 The legislation changed on 1 Jan 2006 for ATM/laser cards, so you will not pay this Govt levy on closing your a/c. See [broken link removed] You will only pay for cards you hold at 31/12 on any given year from now on. The same rule does not apply to credit cards.
