does anyone know of a supplier in the dublin area of stainless steel that can be cut to size to be used as a splashback?

I think B&Q do it - liffey valley. But it has to be ordered.
It doesn't seem to be the easiest thing to find, I'm based in the west and it's proving difficult.

There is a company in Annacotty, Limerick (Shortts Stainless) that sell Stainless steel in sheets 1200 x 2400 or 600 x2400 in various thicknesses.

Details from goldenpages.ie are:

Annacotty Bus Pk, Limerick
(061) 216000

I don't know if they ship to Dublin but they are quite a large compnay so i imagine they are Nationwide

Jon

I can't imagine anyone wanting a stainless steel splashback - I have a stainless steel oven (door & trim) and it's a nightmare to clean - or maybe I'm not using the correct cleaner/method?

How are you planning to clean/polish yours emefox?

I've found that a little bit of baby oil and a tissue polishes stainless steel up nicely! give it a go

baby oil....and then you can bring it to the bedroom!!!!

Actaully, kitchen appliance providers can often supply those splashbacks....Zanuissi do one for example.

Thanks for the baby oil tip gnashers - legend99 obviously has other uses for it ;) !

yea, shhhh now...don't tell brendan.....he'll think we're turning his baby into some kind of porn site!

we are hoping to use it behind the hob and to have a strip behind the bin where the wall gets dirty from putting stuff in the bin (saw this done in a flash house we viewed and it looked really well) have checked out b&q but the sizes aren't quite right so we would need them cut to size.

Hi,

I have been looking for a source for a splashback in copper. Dose anyone know of a potential source.
My situation is we moved the kitchen into a new extention and are useing the old kitchen space as a dining room. However the stanly oil fired range is staying put in the new dining room as it was too much of a job to move it. We will simply use it for heating the rads and some cooking and wanted to add a nice copper splachback (hammered effect preferrably) as a feature.
No luck so far in finding a source. Can anyone help?
