Looking for some help with split in tax credits if salary increases
Spouse salary €50k public service
No overtime or bonus
My salary €22700 private company
Bonus €1k
No overtime
Option to increase my salary by €5k
As my current salary is under €24800 I give my balance of my tax free allowance at the lower rate to spouse
1 Can this be staggered so I can take €5k of it & give spouse the balance?
2 As spouse pays pension levy etc would it be more beneficial for me to take back the credit or leave it with spouse if my salary increases?
