Spread Betting debts - enforceable???

Hi guys-quick question...
Are losses from spread betting enforceable.....i.e. if you owe a spread betting company i.e. ...index money from bets, can they pursue you though the courts.....are gambling debts (as SB is gambling) enforceable?? I thought they were not, unlike in the UK where they have the Gambling Bill (or something like that!!)

Stock markets may have been convulsed by fears over a global credit crunch but according to the chief executive of one of the newest spread betting firms in the industry, the amount of credit offered by spread betting firms has already fallen and will continue to do so.
