Sports Injuries Course

Hi,

My dad is about to retire and is thinking about doing a course part time - nothing too hectic, maybe 1 day per week or 2 x 1/2 days per week etc.
A course in Cork or Waterford would be ideal. He is very interested and actively involved in sport so something along the line of sports injuries etc would be ideal

I have looked up a few courses in Colaiste Stiofain but they appear as 2 years full time - does anyone know how demanding these are in reality?

Does anyone know of any other courses in Cork / Waterford that would meet his needs?

Thanks,
WB

Not a sports injuries course but check out N.C.E.F Exercise and health fitness course ,takes place in U.L. and Cork [not sure of Cork venue] It usually starts in Oct.and takes place on Friday evenings and Sat. from 10.00a.m to 4.00p.m It contines through to May. It approx.€2000 to do.

The NCEF would be a lot of aerobics teaching, step aerobics, weight training practicals so would be demanding physically.

Sports therapy can be physically demanding. He would also have to start with the basic swedish massage and a lot of anatomy and physiology, which is a fair study commitment.
