I am looking to put in a few speakers in the kitchen and maybe living room and have a jack comparable to mp3 players so that i can just plug it in and play music through these speakers instead of having a docking station and also having a radio using these speakers also.

I've being looking on the net recently but am having no luck finding these, does anyone have any info on them about where to find or source them as I will be putting them in myself.

if you want to spend a few quid on it. worth looking into a sonas system. they have come down in price recently and can be controlled from an iphone with a free app.

If you just want to put in speakers in each room that you can drive with the headphone output of an MP3 player or other portable device, then you're going to have to look at powered speakers, something like these or these.

Those options won't give you great sound quality, that'll you'll have to spend more for.
