Solicitors owe me money - how do I claim it?

I'm having trouble getting the last of an award from my solicitor. Despite phoning, writing and visiting I keep being fobbed off. They say the last of the money is being held pending costs and fees being agreed with the other side, which is fair enough) but they don't seem interested in pursuing this any more. It's now years since the case was settled.

Is there an organisation that I could contact to help move things on a bit?Advice welcome.

You could make a formal complaint to their professional body - the Law Society - or maybe try them one last time & threaten to report them to see if that gets things moving.

How about telling them you will write to Joe Duffy about them and give him all the details.
