Solicitor fees - Selling House Only

Hi,
Are Solicitor Fees for selling a house different to when you are buying a property or is it the same fee either way?

if using the 'older' method, then it was a percentage of the price ,most solicitors now do it for a flat fee. Plenty threads on this.
 
go to your local credit union - they have a country wide panel - €1000 plus vat all in for each individual buying / selling transaction - used them last year - got a reputable solicitor in Dublin 2 - no problems given

Small correction: it is €1000 plus VAT plus outlay; however, the outlays on a sale would usually (but not always) be modest.
