Solicitor change scenario

I am the buyer and am worried about delays as closing myself in a few weeks. Apparently the contracts were issued and now there is a change. I dont want a situation where the contracts need to be re-issued

Hi can anyone advise please

Solicitor draws up contract and issues to purchaser's solicitor.
Contract as yet unsigned
If I decide to change solicitor at this stage, does new solicitor need to draw up new contract?
Can the old contract be used

Appreciate any advice

Am guessing you are the vendor. The answer is maybe- your new solicitor may not be happy with the contract already prepared, or she may be. In any case she will have to thoroughly check your title and the documents already prepared, so it would be unfair to the new solicitor to expect her to charge less because someone else had prepared contracts.

Are you being taken to the cleaners by the solicitor that you have employed??
