Solar shed lights - worth it?

Hi all,

I'd like to buy a solar light for my garden shed (6x8), I've had a look at some on ebay and seen a lot of different ones and I'm wondering if anyone has bought one or would recommend specific brands please? [broken link removed]

Depends on what you mean by 'work well'. They work, but the light output is quite low.

So would I better off with something like [broken link removed] which would offer more light? I will not be doing any work in the shed, its just to have some light in it over the winter months really when I have to retrieve important items in the dark such as my beer supply

If you just need enough light to retrieve items from the shed (assuming the shed is reasonably organised and not an Aladin's cave stacked to the roof with stuff you'll need some day), they should do the trick.

The solar panels are very small, so the recharge time will be slow, but again, for occasional use, this shouldn't be a problem. You'll need to keep them clean to keep them operating efficiently.
