Solar Heating System from Connaught Gold

Hi, I'm wonder does anyone have any experience with this solar heating system from Connaught Gold?



The website quotes a price of E700, that is E2500 less the E1800 grant
Installation could be anywhere from 500-1000
Apparently it does not require any change of hot water cylinder and only provides hot water, no connection with radiators

I am looking into this also. I have yet to be given prices from Biothermal or Geoheat (both based) in Wicklow. Solar is the cost ettective (investment v's return) for hot water only. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "that is E2500 less the E1800 grant" though?

I rang them for more information. With a 50 tube system, it qualifies for the maximum grant which is based on metres squared per system. Costing E2500 less E1800 grant equals E700. However installation is seperate and would probbaly depend on access to water tank etc...
