We went for the furniture package provided by the property management company. It will be bland, but bland seems to be what renters want
Buckets, I have sent you a PM.I see you are recommending a good architect for snagging. Could you please forward me the chap's name and contact number as well.
Thanks in anticipation

Budapest, I will bear this in mind, but another problem is that it is just a one bed and I think it is easier to let larger apartments. This may be part of the reason why your property isn't renting at the moment. Renters in Budapest don't want blandly furnished apartments. The standard should be very high and tastefully put together. There's no point skimping on a few nice accessories to make the place look more friendly. The rental market is strong for well-furnished properties. Last week, I rented one of my company-owned apartments at quite a high rent after only a three day gap between tenancies.
I don't use a management company, as I'm based here, but in my experience, it can often be better to use a specialised tenant finder as well as a mgt. co. It costs the same overall.
