I was wondering who I could ask to snag a tiling job that I am in the process of getting done. The work is not particularly bad ( no cracked tiles or uneven groutlines or so) but I am looking for perfection and I don't feel that is what I am getting. I get a lot of excuses and I don't know whether these excuses are genuine or not, so would really like to avail of an expert opinion.
"Walls are not straight, floor isn't level", although many bags of self levelling compound have gone on to it ( It is partially re-tiling, partially extension).
Tiler claims that I am not accepting standards of work that 9 out of 10 would accept, and in fairness he is taking down tiles where I am not happy. My biggest snag is with the floor sloping (slightly)where he says he can't do any better. I would be happier-ish if I get a second opinon that tells me I am a stickler and should just get a life, but I simply don't have the background to tell whether I am being told porky pies so I would need some help there.
