Small unpaid income tax for 2023

Hello

I bought some EU companies shares using Degiro in November 2023: as of now I have not sold anything yet, so I have no CGT liability. I was just checking the dividend income for 2024 which is ~ 1200€ after the tax withheld at source, with a view to do the tax return for 2024. Unfortunately I just realized now that also in 2023 I had a small income from dividends as well. It's very small about 100€ after the withheld tax. Should I just add the 100€ to the liability for 2024 ? I didn't do a tax return last year since I only had Paye income and didn't realize about this extra 100€ dividend income for 2023 unil now.

If you are PAYE then you can make changes to your records/returns for the current year and the previous four years (2021-2024) via your Revenue myAccount login.

Should I just add the 100€ to the liability for 2024 ?

Absolutely not.

You could still get a bill for 2023 and could end up losing the money you overdeclared for 2024.
