Have a big problem with my digital reception at the moment,
The dish is at the back of the house (south facing) and the cable runs in the attic to the front of the house (north facing) before dropping down the wall to the ground floor .

The kids room is directly over the tv room and when they are on the mobile phone, texting or playing the WII the signal drops !

Is there any way to solve this with a booster of do I have to move the cable ?

Just wondering if it's a Sky + box by any chance? We recently upgraded to Sky+ and it's been a nightmare ever since. The signal is forever dropping. Record a programme and get "Recording Failed" message, blue screen, voice out of sinc with picture .... the list goes on. Biggest problems are Channel 4, E4, More 4, Tiny pop. I've had sky out a couple of times and apparently the problem is our cordless phone which is plugged in next to the television and Sky+ box. Yet, I've unplugged the phone for a couple of weeks now and we're still having problems. Grant it, not as frequent as before but the service still isn't 100%.

I had the same problem with bad signal and failed recordings on my sky plus. Sky came out and found the the problem was that the cables were joined together in the attic and terminated at the wall plug. He ran new cables straight from the dish to the sky box with no breaks or connectors.

Once this was done I have had not any more problems with the signal.

Yes joins in the cables are never good for Sky.
Are you sure the WII is causing the problems??
I have Sky + (HD) & the WII console is directly under the Sky box, regularly left on by my daughter but never noticed any interference.
