Sky Box noise

Has anyone else noticed that their Sky+ box makes quite a loud humming noise? Its like when I switch it on it is making some kind of warming up noise. I never really noticed it in the evenings as would usually have the TV on before I switched over to Sky, but at home one day last week I noticed it. You can't hear it over the TV once its on, but I was just wondering if this is normal ! We've had the box about 11 months.

recently got sky + box in and changed box for another one because of the noise.this newer box is worse than the first box. You'd think in this day and age with the advancement of technology that this would not be the case...sky + box is like a siren with the noise coming from hard drive and fan ...think i might just get a standard box in that doesn't make any noise!!
