Site prep - Stone calculation

Hi All

I wonder if anyone can help as I have started to prep our site for a new build. I need to calculate the stone requirements for the entrance to site and a working area, I can calculate the volume no problems but any ideas how this relates to the weight of 2 to 4 inch stone and 804 for instance?

I am also putting in a mobile home, is there any cheap and cheerful stone or chippings I can place down in that area? There will be no weight to worry about and this area will be away from the build so it doesn't warrant spending $10 Euro a tone on.

Kris,

Generally there are 2.2 tonnes to the m3. This varies depending on the type of stone you are ordering. If you speak to the company supplying the stone they should help you with your calcs.

With the Irish weather I wouldnt spare it around the site and by your mobile home as it can get very muddy

I know what you mean by spreading it around, started work on the site at the weekend and its now a bog.
