I am a monthly billed customer of Vodafone.
There are a lot of numbers saved to my Sim card and my query was , Is it possible to get a duplictae Sim Card .Ie use 2 sim cards with similair information in 2 different phones .The reason I want to know this is in order to use the phone in a second car which is a different phone cradle from my own and so will not accept my current phone.

Could you take the SIM Card out of the phone and put it into the back of the phone that fits in the car holder?

thanks for reply i could do that of course but it would be easier to get a duplicate card as its 2 different types of phones in 2 different cars so would prefer if i could copy all information onto another card and leave phone in place.

I think you could only do it manually. Because two sim cards can't have the same phone number. And i don't think you can "copy" data from one sim to another.
What i'm saying is: you'd have to buy another sim card and enter all the phone numbers in yourself, then tell the ppl the new number of the phone, that would work.
Or alternatively, buy a "cradle" for the car that supports holding your phone.

You could copy your stored phone numbers on your original SIM card to the second phone, and from there to the second SIM (or leave them on the phone). I think most phones have an option to copy from SIM to phone memory.

Most phones have internal phone books, why not just take the SIM out, copy it to the internal phone book of the other phone and then put it back?

Or use a SIM backup gadget?

Lost my 02 speakeasy phone last night - I have my old 02 phone so I take it I just need to call into the 02 store in town and get a new SIM card with my original number?

That's exactly how I would do it. Very simple without having to do any typing or fiddling around...

Alternatively take it to the local shop of your service provider. They have sim2sim copiers that they use if for example you need to upgrade your sim...I expect they'd do it for you.
