"Sim Card Rejected"..

Hi all,
my mobile (nokia 7630) died on the way to work this morning. Its charging now, but when it is switched on it is reading "sim Card Rejected".

I have turned it off and on, removed, wiped and replaced the sim card and still no joy. There isn't any damage of any kind (water, shock etc) to the phone.
Can anyone advise why this is happening and hopefully, how to rectify it?!

Sim cards sometimes just die like that, and when they say sim rejected it means a replacment sim card from shop or over phone.

Try the sim card in someone elses phone. See does that work.

Cheers David - do you know if simcards can be replaced instantly or if I will have to wait on the post if ordered over phone?

They can be activated instantly but obviously you will need to have the new sim card. Pop into you nearest network provider retail outlet and they should be able to do it for you while you wait.
