Signing contract

Have been offered a job that I really want to accept. A couple of things I am not that happy about in my letter of offer. Firstly I am not happy that I have only been ogiven 20 days annual leave and that the mileage rate is very low at .50 cent per mile.

Should I sign this contract? Perspective employer says he is not backing down on these issues.

Seems simple to me - if these issues are deal breakers from your point of view and there is no flexibility on the prospective employer's part then don't sign it. Otherwise do and accept the terms & conditions.

Contract

I currently have 26 days holidays and get 93.04 cent per mile and no I am not working in public sector.

Hi Cracker,

If the new employer wont back down on the issue perhaps you could ask that annual leave and expences be part of your annual performance review? Say subject to satisfactory performance that you would get 1 extra day up to 24.

What are the terms and conditions of other employees like?

How strong of a negotiating postition are you?
