Hello all,

we are going to get some work done on our ensuite. It needs to be tiled and a new shower etc installed. My husband has bought an electric pump to be installed. It is a 2 bar pump and he wants to have it attached to pipes in the main bathroom as well.

We have found a tile shop with tradesmen who are offering to do the work. The boss seems to know what they are talking about and is giving us advice on various things, even though we did not buy the shower and pump from them. My point is they seem to know what they are at and are helpful to boot.

They have said they can install the pump etc and will gain access to the piping in the main bathroom by going through the ensuite. Now we just have the usual plasterboard walls, but I just wanted to check does this seem like a reasonable thing to do. They said they can redo the plaster and will then tile and fit the shower in the ensuite after.

I'm assuming we should check to see that all these tradesmen are covered by insurance. But what trouble can we expect or look out for? Or how do we avoid trouble.

Lord, I hate getting work done. :(

cheers mica
