Should the chimney be insulated in bedroom

I have stripped the walls in my bedroom and discovered no insulateion on the chimney breast that protudes as it goes up the bedroom wall( it has 3 sides)
The wall on each side is insulated but not the chimney which is freezing.

Question - should it be insulated, if yes then what is the best way to do it?
