I received my reply to completed form online and after having to send in more details via post in January and i am allowed to pay Class 2 NS contributions from 2006 forward, i'm 51 years old !.
However the letter says to contact the future pension centre to find out which tax year will count towards my state pension. i checked online and although im still on class 3 on the gov login its 151.82 per week or 660.15 per month on my NS record, would this change?
I have 7 qualifying years from working in the UK, I rang the number to check and they put me on a call back as the deadline is looming and said to not worry that im covered with call back, id prefer to sort straight away not wait 8 weeks.
13 of the years say final time limit within 31 days from the date of this letter. 5 of the years starting 2019 to 2020 are April 2026, (2020-21) 2027 (2021-22), 2028, (2022-23) 2029, (2023-24) 2030
I understand they are busy i asked if i could call back tomorrow to be told ive to wait for a call back within 8 weeks, did anyone else get this today or should i just pay whats on the letter for relevant years ? Is it 35 years i need to quality for the full pension or all years on that letter, my retirement year is 2041 and ive 7 years contributions in the UK.
id like to finalise this asap, thanks for your help.
