I’m a private citizen needing advice on an issue from a solicitor. Can I share emails received from another private citizen with my solicitor without the sender’s knowledge as it’s the contents of these that necessitates my approach to the solicitor in the first place. If the answer is yes, then my second question is, if my solicitor is going to write to the private citizen on my behalf, can my solicitor confirm in writing to that person that I have shared the email communication with them.
